1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Texas Plumbing Exam Prep (the "Service"), operated by MITRYXA (https://mitryxa.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Texas Plumbing Exam Prep is an online study platform for the Texas plumbing license examinations (Journeyman Plumber (written), Master Plumber (written)) issued by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and administered by Pearson VUE. The Service includes lessons, practice questions, mock exams, an AI tutor and study tools, in English and Spanish.
Important: Texas Plumbing Exam Prep is an independent educational resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE), Pearson VUE, IAPMO, ICC or the State of Texas. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing any exam. Our questions are written from the 2018 UPC and 2018 IPC and Texas law; they are not the actual examination questions.
2A. Educational use only
All content on the Service, including lessons, practice questions, explanations and AI tutor responses, is provided for educational and exam-preparation purposes only. It is not legal, code-compliance, engineering, tax or business advice, and it is not a substitute for the current official code text, statute or the authority having jurisdiction. You agree not to rely on Service content for any licensing, code-compliance, business or contractual decision without verifying it against the current official source.
2B. Content accuracy and currency
Codes, statutes and exam outlines change. Our content is locked to the 2018 UPC and 2018 IPC and the sources listed on the site (2018 Uniform Plumbing Code (IAPMO); 2018 International Plumbing Code and 2018 International Fuel Gas Code (ICC); Texas Plumbing License Law, Occupations Code chapter 1301; TSBPE Board Rules, 22 Texas Administrative Code chapters 361–367), and was last reviewed on 2026-09-20. We cannot guarantee that every statement reflects the most recent amendment. You are responsible for verifying anything you intend to rely on against the current official source and any local amendments adopted by your authority having jurisdiction. If you find content that appears outdated or wrong, email mit@mitryxa.com so we can review it.
3. Account registration
You create an account with an email address and password, or with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.
4. Free and paid access
A free account opens the first module of each section and the free exam. Two paid products unlock everything:
- 7-day pass: $9. Full access for 7 days from purchase. It expires on its own and does not renew. If you buy lifetime access while the pass is active, the $9 is credited toward it.
- Lifetime access: $149 (list price $175). One payment, no recurring charges, permanent access to all lessons, questions, mock exams and 100 tutor credits. Further tutor credits may be bought in packs.
Who charges you. All payments are collected by MITRYXA through our payment processor, Stripe, and appear on your card statement as MITRYXA* TXPLUMBPREP, not as "Texas Plumbing Exam Prep". It is the same company and a single charge.
Refunds, lifetime access: 14-day window. You may request a full refund by emailing mit@mitryxa.com within 14 days of purchase, provided that at the time of the request you have completed fewer than 5 lessons and used fewer than 20 tutor credits. We verify both against your account's recorded activity. Outside the window, or above either threshold, refunds are available only under the Pass Guarantee.
Refunds, 7-day pass. Because the whole product unlocks immediately and the pass expires by itself, it is refundable only within 24 hours of purchase and before you have answered any practice question.
Refunds, tutor credit packs. Unused credits are refundable within 14 days; credits already spent are not, since the cost is incurred when a credit is used. Credits do not expire.
Pass Guarantee. If you sit the official exam after using the Service and do not pass, you may request a full refund of your lifetime purchase provided all of the following are true:
- You sat the official examination within 6 months of your purchase date.
- You completed every published lesson on the platform.
- You scored 85% or higher on 3 or more full-length mock exams taken within the platform.
- You request the refund within 30 days of the result date, by emailing mit@mitryxa.com a clear photo or scan of your official result notice showing a failing result, with your name and the exam date visible.
Lesson completion and mock-exam scores are verified against your account's recorded activity. Submitting a falsified or fabricated result notice is fraud; such claims are not refunded and may be reported.
Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your card issuer or bank rather than requesting a refund through the channels above, we may suspend or terminate your account access pending resolution. Initiating a chargeback after receiving a refund is grounds for permanent account termination.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to share your account; copy, redistribute or resell content; use bots or scrapers; reverse-engineer any part of the Service; use the tutor for content unrelated to exam preparation; or transmit harmful or unlawful content.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the platform is owned by MITRYXA or its licensors and protected by copyright. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for personal, non-commercial study. The code texts themselves are the property of their publishers; the Service paraphrases and cites them and does not reproduce them.
7. AI tutor
The tutor uses artificial intelligence. Its responses may contain errors. It is a study aid, not the sole source of preparation; check anything important against the official code text.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT USING IT WILL RESULT IN PASSING ANY EXAMINATION. MITRYXA SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY THAT THE CONTENT REFLECTS THE MOST CURRENT VERSION OF ANY CODE, STATUTE, REGULATION OR EXAM OUTLINE. RELIANCE ON SERVICE CONTENT WITHOUT INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MITRYXA AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, INCOME, OPPORTUNITY OR WAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
9A. Exam outcomes. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MITRYXA HAS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY EXAMINATION OUTCOME OR ITS CONSEQUENCES, INCLUDING FAILURE TO PASS, LOSS OF EXAM OR APPLICATION FEES, DENIAL OR DELAY OF A LICENCE, OR LOST INCOME OR CONTRACTS.
9B. No professional engagement. Use of the Service creates no attorney-client, engineer-client, accountant-client or other professional or fiduciary relationship.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes
We may modify these Terms; changes are posted here with a new date. Material changes are also announced by email where reasonably possible.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts located in California.
